There has been a message being sent to the world that all people are equal regardless of the gender. A poll was conducted to collect various information about what both men and women thoughts about the issue of à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã‹Å"Tomboys and Sissiesà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬. Men were to explain their views about being à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã‹Å"Sissiesà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬ when growing up. Most of the men said that being a à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã‹Å"Sissiesà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬ was not accepted in the society as compared to being a tomboy. Most of them said that their parents were so harsh on them if they were identified to have such behavior. They insisted that they preferred being men as they grew up. The reason to that was that they were convinced that men were more superior to the women (Susan M. Shaw Janet Lee, 2015, p.Â117). The society brought them that way. For the few who opted to be Sissies, they said that there were so ma ny challenges. The mode of dressing for them would not be tolerated by most people. They explained that if one chose to follow that path, it was not easy since they would face much rejection in the society. For the women, most of them admired being men as they grew up. They explained that being a young boy was fun since one was entitled to more activities such as sports and hiking and other advantages. Women were perceived to be weaker than men and thatà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬s why most women chose to be tomboys. The tomboy behavior was accepted in the society its mode of dressing. Most girls felt alright acting like boys. In conclusion, most men thought that being a woman was hectic because of the giving birth process. The women admired the position that the men had in the society.The description of a man or a woman is important. When a woman is said to be a slut it means that she has slept with many women. For a man who is said to be more sexually active, he is referred to be a stud. Some of t he other commonly used names are à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã‹Å"Niggaà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬ referring a man to be a Negro and. A bitch is also used and it refers a woman as a female dog. Another word used to explain a lady is a chick and dude for a man. All this words are in a way sarcastic or insults. Men are referred to be much stronger, authoritative and active. For the women it is always the opposite of men. They are impassive and weaker compared to the men. This is according to the societyà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬s view on the issue of gender. The women are said to have submissive, emotional, dependant, intuitive and sensitive characteristics. For the men they are characterized by dominant, independent, analytical and sensitivity characteristics (Susa M.
